Wondering how to make your home stylish in 2018? According to Pantone, the color authority turned trend forecaster, soon homeowners in the know will be flashing some intense colors, geometric patterns and wood treatments. At the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago, this visionary company revealed what color and design trends we can expect in the coming year.
Geometric patterns
There are so many ways you can incorporate geometry into your décor when it comes to creating a dynamic look. A versatile mosaic tile pattern (check out Exfloorit Mosaics) can be applied to any room in your home, from a single accent wall, or go for it by flooring your entire dining room or bathroom.
Wood treatments
As technology continues to advance, design trends tend to reconnect with natural elements like wood. It will be seen in unexpected places like ceilings and as accent walls, featuring a simple yet powerful appearance. Go for the Exfloorit Porcelain Wood Look, to bring this down to Earth trend home, suitable for indoor and outdoor projects.
Intense colors
Intense colors bring strength, power and sophistication to the new year. Pantone predictions distilled the color trends into eight groups, one of which is called Intensity, a palette which plum, blue and blue-green are paired with the brightness of orange named “Emberglow” and “Bossa Nova”. They are all offset by beautiful neutrals that include “Brilliant White” and “Frosted Almond”.
